| Nowadays with the growing concern for
operational safety in ports around the world, port operators
have taken to automating mooring operations. The installation
of quick release mooring hooks is becoming more and
more common in ports the world over. The hooks, combined
with an electronic system for monitoring the tensions
in the cables, allow the anticipation of problems during
mooring, avoiding accidents and damage to the port or
to the ship.
Quick Release
Mooring Hooks:
Tested with loads 50% above the nominal load
Capacities of 20 to 200 tons
Hooks with manual or remote release. The remote
release can be electric, hydraulic or pneumatic
Can be supplied with explosion-proof certificate
for dangerous areas.
Integrated capstans can be supplied
The monitoring system allows the visualization of the
acting tensions, and in case of overloading, alarms
can be sounded to alert to situations of risk, allowing
the early correction of the problem.
Monitoring system:
The loads on each hook are visualized
independently in real time on the screen of a PC and,
optionally, can be visualized via a pager
Can be easily installed on existing hooks of
other manufacturers
Visual and audible alarms can be adjusted to
alert to situations of overloading and unbalancing between
the lines
Low installation cost, as just one cable is required
for communication between the hooks and to the control
