The system is designed to assist the onboard personnel in berthing operations, monitoring the ship’s approach and providing information such as distance, speed, and angle of the ship in relation to the docking berth. The system allows for the anticipation of problems during berthing, avoiding accidents and damages to the berth or vessel.
Berth monitoring system
Laser sensor
Proximity Sensors
The berthing aid system comprises two laser sensors located at the berth. They emit a signal that returns to the sensor after reflecting off the vessel, thus enabling the determination of measurements. The system is classified for hazardous areas.
