History
Strauhs was founded more than 70 years ago, with a strong presence in the naval and industrial segments. It began its activities in 1948, manufacturing components and carrying out repairs on marine engines. In 1950, the production of gasoline and diesel engines for small boats began, focusing mainly on river and coastal navigation.
In the 1960s, Brazil reached the level of second largest ship manufacturer in the world. From this point on, we intensified our activities in this segment, supplying naval equipment such as winches, deck equipment, cranes, propellers and propeller shafts, for both inland navigation and offshore navigation.
Strauhs has been recognized as a leader in the manufacture of naval equipment for over 50 years, designing and manufacturing the most advanced products for all classes of vessels and oil platforms, with ABS, BV, LR, DNV and RBNA classification. We are equipment suppliers for the largest shipyards, shipping companies and oil prospecting and exploration companies in Brazil and South America.
Today, we have a strong presence in the naval, oil and gas, steel, mining, civil construction and industrial sectors, and we continue to operate with the firm conviction of always developing highly professional and ethical work.
